Charming houseboat in Hebden Bridge

The  fabulously comfortable and delightfully quirky, Misty Lady, is a  newly-renovated 1960s wide beam boat full of character. With its own  terraced mooring on the Rochdale Canal, this is a great location for  exploring the wild and romantic countryside of the Yorkshire Pennines  and the beautiful Calder Valley. It is an ideal stop-off if you are  walking the Pennine Way.

The space

Newly-renovated  with a nod to its sixties heritage, Misty Lady is a very comfortable  home-from-home with luxury bedding, a cosy stove and a fully equipped  kitchen.

The whole boat is available for your private use. There  is a bedroom with a double bed and, for additional guests in your party, there is a sofa in the living room  that converts into a comfortable double bed. There is a small and perfectly-formed shower room, with shower, toilet and sink. Outside, there is also a lockable shed to store bikes, muddy boots and wet clothing.

Idyllic setting

The boat has its own private mooring with terraced area so you can sit outside and watch the world, the ducks and other boats go gently by.

Hebden Bridge lies in the beautiful Calder Valley, surrounded by dramatic moorland and peaceful woodland. Famed for its funky and creative nature and packed with interesting independent shops, Hebden Bridge bustles with a fantastically varied  programme of events. This lively small town will not cease to surprise you.

Misty  lady is a creative, quirky, super comfy and luxurious space. The  perfect place to stay to explore the beautiful surrounding. Amazing  walks with spectacular views and lots of lovely places to eat.  Lucy and Tom were perfect hosts and do their best to make the stay  comfortable, stress free , with every finishing touch you could need for  relaxation and catering. We will definitely go back, as it’s the most  relaxing short break we’ve ever done. Highly recommend this venue and  hosts !

This boat stay was utterly magical.  The boat is beautifully renovated  with a real attention to detail that means you can just stay home and  delight in each detail whilst you relax. Special thanks for the eggs (home laid?), butter and milk on arrival, and the fairy lights in main room and on the deck when we arrived.  Kitchen very well equipped, you could seriously cook here if you wanted. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the town, lovely enough to stay home in, well equipped enough to dress up for a 3 party wedding, which  is what we did.  I've never been so glad I didn't go to a hotel.

Everything you need is on the boat, beautiful bedding and comfy bed.  A  mini bar is a great idea although I didn't make use of it.  The shower  is nice and hot, I was expecting a trickle but it's almost as good as  mine at home.  It's not far from the town .. a nice walk down the tow  path and through the park was lovely first thing in the morning.  I  loved Hebden bridge, loads of lovely cafes and very friendly  people.

Highly  recommended! The boat is so cosy and clean!  I felt so at home. The  area is fantastic so much to do and loads of places to eat and drink.  Perfect for walks. Amazing host. Cannot fault anything about my stay.

A  lovely place to stay. It was cosy and warm even in awful weather. Lots  of homely little touches and great location being just a short walk from  Hebden Bridge. Would highly recommend.
